Moelwyn cottage provides a great base for exploring the south of West Falklands. From here, Albermarle and Port Stephens are just a short drive away. You can see a wide range of wildlife over the three farms. You must seek landowners permission before hand.
Port Edgar has amazing views along the cliffs, and is a good opportunity to spot whales. You can also visit the sand beach where you can find sea loins, Magellanic penguins, dolphins and lots of birds. If you don’t want to go too far there are some lovely short walks from the settlement with views of the harbour, a walking leaflet is provided. The harbour has some good fish spots too.
